Certification:

Each unit comes fully certified with a test certificate or an EC Declaration of Conformity stating compliance with the essential health and safety requirements of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. This document clearly states the proof test at 1.5 times the rated capacity and the light load test of 2% of the rated capacity, which exceeds the requirements of the current applicable standard.

Safety Brake:

Tiger uniquely uses an 8 point multi start thread pinion shaft which has measurably increased the efficiency in brake reaction times – up to 50% measurable difference compared with longitudinal 4 point pinion threads.

Double Cover Protection:

Both the hand chain wheel cover and the ratchet brake cover of this manual chain hoist are designed to offer protection to the brake chamber in the most arduous environments.

Lifting at Angles:

The TRCB range of manual chain hoists have undergone a full and comprehensive testing regime that was drawn up by industry specialists and Tiger’s mechanical engineers to provide evidence that these hoist units can be safely used for “fleeting” and “cross-hauling” applications up to 45°.

All such operations should be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and fully risk assessed by a competent person.

Load Chain:

Tiger only use the highest quality alloy, calibrated load chains in Grade 80 (T) or 100 (V) on their TRCB range of hoist units. All capacities are available with stainless steel load chain as an option.

Load Hooks:

Drop forged and heat treated alloy load hooks are furnished with heavy duty latch kits that fully engage into the nose of the hook offering maximum load security. The swivel hooks are attached to the yoke using high grade nuts & bolts allowing for complete inspection during any statutory inspection or written in house maintenance scheulde. Recessed forgings offer full protection to the load chain anchor bolts on all our bottom load hooks.

Grease:

High performance premium quality grease allows the TRCB chain block to be certified for use within a temperature range of -40°C to +50°C, far exceeding the requirements of current standards.

Chain end stops:

The chain end stops fitted as standard will hold a load of at least 2.5 times the rated capacity when supporting the full load without restraint from other components e.g. brake or gearing. This prevents accidents, by acting as a stop when the lift length of the load chain is exceeded when lowered.

Mechanical Efficiency:

All major components are heat treated and precisely machined to ensure long term smooth operation. High gear ratios keep physical effort to a minimum.

Convertibility:

The TRCB tiger chain hoist can be easily converted to have Over Load Limiters fitted. The top hook can be replaced by a competent person so the TRCB can be directly fitted to our beam trolley range of the equivalent capacity achieving the lowest possible headroom.

Performance:

The TRCB manual chain hoist has undergone a full test program that includes:

Type Testing

Ultimate strength test, at least 4 times the Working Load Limit (WLL)
Continuous cyclic testing of over 1500 cycles
Chain end anchorage test, passing at least 2.5 times the WLL without any restriction of the brake or gears

Test on every hoist

Proof loading at 1.5 times the rated capacity
Light load testing at maximum of 2% rated capacity

Finish:

The TRCB Tiger chain hoist is finished in our high quality powder coat paint offering excellent corrosion protection.

Delivery Information

How much does delivery cost?

There are three parcel sizes: small, medium and large. Prices, based on location, for each parcel size are as shown below.

Small: 0 to 20 kg

Medium: 20 kg to 40 kg

Large: 40 kg +

There is only one parcel charge per order.

Export orders outside of UK mainland your carriage cost will be quoted separately after order placement. For very large order sizes, we reserve the right to re-quote the delivery charge before acceptance and shipment of your order.

When will I receive my order?

We will make contact with you to arrange a delivery time upon receipt of your order either by telephone or email; we will endeavour to deliver at the agreed time however, we cannot guarantee delivery dates and times as these may be affected by circumstances outside our control.

We will do our best to contact you if we are forewarned of delays.

Stock items should normally be delivered within 5 working days from date of order placement, but it may often be sooner. For non-UK-Mainland orders, delivery time may be longer. For items currently out of stock delivery will usually be within 28 days.

Will all of my goods be sent at the same time?

We will pick all your items together and ship your order at the same time. However, depending upon the size of the order we may ship the order in more than one package. Consequently you may not receive all of the goods/packages at the same time. If you order an item which is marked 'pre-order' we will not usually dispatch your order until your whole order is ready. Please let us know if you'd like part of your order dispatching sooner, and we will of course be happy to help.

When do you normally attempt deliveries?

Small and medium parcels are usually sent by Courier. Large parcels are sent by a Pallet network courier, who deliver Monday to Friday, typically between 8:00am and 5:30pm.

Gaining Access to Delivery Address

If we are unable to gain access to the agreed delivery address we will return the goods to our warehouse and make contact with you to re-arrange delivery. Unfortunately in these circumstances we may have to charge you a further delivery fee
